On the occasion of the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE 2019) in Shanghai, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) was the organizer of the Italian National Pavilion. ITA also organized 5 days of seminars on specialized topics and other activities at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This year Italy participated as Guest Country to the CIIE.

This year the CIIE was divided into 2 phases: from November 5th to November 10th, 2019 the 1st phase was opened to professional visitors. The 2nd phase was opened to the general public and it started on November 13th till November 20th, 2019.

Triumph Asia supported ITA in the overall event management, including booth supervision and management, staffing service, seminar on-site management and audience invitation, booth activities management, photographer and cameraman services, etc.

During the 1st phase of CIIE, various activities took place in the Italian Pavilion: on November 5th there was the MOU signing ceremony between ITA and 4 Chinese partners (JD, Suning, Hema and the Trade Development Bureau (TDB) of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China) and on November 9th a VR exhibition was organized in the Pavilion for the promotion of HelloITA project. From the 6th to the 10th of November the professional seminars took place in a dedicated seminar room at the NECC.

During the 2nd phase of CIIE, the general public visitors had the chance to taste all the typical and authentic Italian food cooked by Italian chef inside the Italian Pavilion. They could also try a glass of Italian Prosecco wine and receive customized gadgets.
